Bates Motel comes back Monday, March 3rd, and I know I'm late to the Bates Motel party but I caught up on all the missed fun and excitement on a Netflix binge over a couple days. I really enjoyed the reimaging, setting Norman Bates in a modern setting but keeping some of his weird eccentricities, like taxidermy.
Overall I enjoyed the series, although it wasn't without its faults. I understand they can't have Norman losing his mind in every episode and killing lots of people, but he sometimes seems a little too normal. The slow-play of how attracted Norman is to his mother is well-played, but the Hardy Boys-esque mysteries that Norman and Dylan have to solve get old quickly.
I'm excited for season two. I'll be tuning in every week.
